I hope everyone has read the article published in the Daily Telegraph on Saturday. It is in the press release section on this website. This woman had her council tax band reduced as the noise from the turbines was so bad it drove her out of her home and rendered it unsaleable, ie. worthless. This shows that the Lincolnshire Council admit that the noise was an issue and that her home was devalued (both claims denied by Bolsterstone Plc!!) Her home was 1000yards (930m) from the turbines, that distance amounts to almost all of Cumwhinton when applied to Newlands Wind Farm!!

hi Cumwhinton....If your houses are as close to this propossed wind farm as you say, the experience at Lincolnshire sites, is that noise will be an issue, in some cases an extreme issue. It would be as well, also, to check with local Estate agents, whether your home will likely be devalued, before allowing this project to go ahead.

This Wayward Wind Site has some useful information about various sonic/infrasonic impacts of wind farms.

If the Cumwhinton group would like to join SALT you'd be very welcome. SALT aims to help communities protect their environment from inappropriate wind farm developments.

Please don't hesitate to contact me.
